Using my years of experience as an educator, my custom learning experiences are engaging and interactive and result in behavior changes, knowledge retention, and performance improvement. I specialize in creating unique instructor-led training (ILT), virtual instructor-led training (vILT), eLearning, microlearning, and blended learning.

My Process: I use the ADDIE, SAM, and Agile processes as an instructional designer. I start with a needs analysis, ask questions to understand the desired outcome, and focus on the details. I can set priorities with backward planning and create a timeline to develop attainable goals. I design learning with opportunities for branching scenarios and real-world problem-solving experiences. I enjoy collaborating with others to develop ideas that successfully improve performance goals.

I am a dedicated instructional designer who loves figuring out how to make learning experiences successful.

Some of my favorite things to do are hiking, reading, and traveling.  Road trips are the best!  One of my best road trips was traveling from Pittsburgh, PA to Glacier National Park, MT.  Along the way, we saw Mt. Rushmore and Yellowstone National Park.  Our most recent vacation was to Hawaii. My goal is to visit all 50 states.

The Applied Instructional Design Credential is the culmination of a 9-month program.  It is earned after successful completion of the eLearning Development, Instructional Design, and Storyline badges, as well as one or more of several elective badges. Learners complete 80+ lessons, receive extensive coaching, and complete a rigorous set of learning activities with practice, extensive feedback, multiple revisions, and the completion of simulated client projects.
